Where the Menu Data Comes From
The catalogue behind this site holds 199 items across 15 categories. Item names, descriptions, calories and the other nutrition figures are taken from Outback's own published menu and nutrition information, then organised into categories that match how people actually search rather than how the printed menu is laid out.
Nutrition is reproduced as published, per serving and as listed. Cooking choices, substitutions, sauces and sides all change the real total, so treat a calorie figure as the number for the standard preparation rather than for the plate you personally order.
Which Prices Are Real and Which Are Estimates
This is the distinction that matters most, so it is worth being blunt about it.
- National menu prices on the main menu and price list and on each item page are the baseline figures published for the standard menu.
- State prices on the 50 prices by state pages are estimates, not observed prices. Outback does not publish a state-by-state price list. We take the national figure and adjust it by a single percentage per state to reflect regional cost patterns, which is why every item on a given state page moves by the same amount. They are useful for comparing states and for budgeting. They are not a quote from any restaurant.
- Prices paid in person appear only in the visit notes on individual pages, with the restaurant and date attached. Those are the only prices on this site that someone has actually handed over money for.
Outback asks guests to pick a restaurant before it shows exact local pricing, and franchise, airport and casino locations can sit well outside any national pattern. The restaurant's own menu is always the final word.
What We Do Not Do
- We do not invent opening hours. Hours change by location and by holiday, so we point you at the restaurant's official listing instead of guessing.
- We do not publish a promotion as national when it is only confirmed at participating locations. If an offer varies, the page says it varies.
- We do not use photographs of food we did not photograph and present them as our own. Pictures taken on a visit are labelled with the restaurant and date.
- We do not fill visit notes with plausible-sounding filler. A page with no visit notes means nobody has been there yet.
How Often Pages Are Checked
Pages rebuild on a rolling basis, and the “Updated” date on a page reflects the last time it was regenerated. Menu and deal pages are reviewed when Outback changes its published menu or promotions. A refreshed date means the page was checked, not that every price on it moved.
Locations
The location directory holds 662 restaurant records used for search and directions. Restaurants open, close and relocate, so confirm any address through Outback's official location finder before travelling.
Corrections
If a figure here does not match what your restaurant charges, that is worth knowing and it is easy to report. Leave a comment on the page with your city, or email [email protected]. Local price reports are the fastest way this guide gets more accurate.
